Call for Presentations

12th Biennial Conference on University Education in Natural Resources
March 8-10, 2018, Stephen F. Austin State University, Nacogdoches, Texas


The BCUENR 2018 conference will encompass a variety of topics related to natural resources education. While we are soliciting contributions in the areas and related topics listed below, we also welcome proposals for themes not explicitly noted.   

Experiential and service learning
Communications and leadership
Recruitment, retention and advising
Curriculum and assessment
Diversity and inclusion 


Individual presentation:  20 minutes, followed by 5 minutes of discussion
Poster presentation:  36” wide by 48” tall
Panel or workshop:  1 hour or more in length, in 30-minute increments


Submission of Abstracts (due October 6, 2017 extended to October 27, 2017)

Include the following information in your submission:

(1) Contact of the corresponding author (Name, Email, and Affiliation)
(2) Type of presentation – Individual paper, Poster, Panel presentation or Workshop
(3) Title of the presentation
(4) Abstract of the presentation in 350 words or less
(5) Up to 3 keywords
(6) Names of all co-authors
(7) Brief description of the presentation within 50 words (for conference program)

Acceptance notices will be sent electronically to submitting authors by November 10, 2017.


Conference Proceedings 

All contributors will have the option of developing a paper for the conference proceedings. A final version of the proceedings papers will be due March 30, 2018. Guidelines for the proceedings papers will be provided.
